【西粟倉中学校】1年生・2年生総合あわくらみらい学 学びの解像度を上げる。おかやま学びたい賞〈実施報告〉※R7年度記事

岡山県が主催する「おかやま学びたい賞」。今年度、西粟倉中学校としては初の試みとして、1年生と2年生があわくらみらい学での取り組みを携えて応募しました。

今回のフォーラム当日、1年生は「観光」「自然」「エネルギー」の3つのカテゴリーに分かれて参加しました。

オンライン上でいざ交流が始まると、他校のハイレベルな発言を前に「話についていけない…」と少し緊張気味な様子も見られましたが、いざセッションが始まると、各グループのリーダーを中心にしっかりと受け答えを行いました。

「観光」チームは「旅行プランをどう考えたの？」という質問には、「村外の人が村を満喫できるように一生懸命考えました」と回答。また、活動の苦労を問われると「課題解決の方法を考えたり、発表資料をまとめたりするのが難しかった」と、自分たちの足跡を率直な言葉で振り返っていました。交流を経て、「今後は他の教科とも結びつけて探究してみたい」と、次なる学びへの意欲を語る姿が印象的でした。

一方、当日フォーラムには参加しなかった2年生も、事前に活動をまとめた動画を提出する形で参加しました。実はこの2年生、小学校6年生の時に同賞で奨励賞を受賞した経験があり、当時から「中学校でもまた挑戦したい！」という熱い声もあり、今回の応募が実現しました。

2年生のチーム「呼びこみくん西粟倉支部」は、村の現状を内的・外的視点から分析し、PR不足や活気の向上といった課題に対する解決策を検討してきました。事前にクラスで協力し合い、これまでのリサーチを凝縮したスライドを作成。限られた時間の中で、自分たちの想いが伝わるよう動画撮影に励みました。

西粟倉中学校として初めて挑んだ「学びたい賞」。他校の多様な視点に触れることで、自分たちが今、村のどんな課題に向き合い、どんな価値を見出そうとしているのか、その「解像度」がぐっと上がったように感じます。自分たちの活動を客観的に見つめ直したこの経験は、これからのあわくらみらい学をより深く、力強いものに変えていく確かな一歩となりました。

Raising the “Resolution” of Learning: 7th and 8th Graders Challenge the Okayama Manabitai Awards

This year, 7th and 8th-grade students from Nishiawakura Junior High School took a bold new step by entering the “Okayama Manabitai Awards,” a prestigious local program showcasing student-led inquiry projects.

On the day of the forum, the 7th graders participated in sessions focused on three key themes: Tourism, Nature, and Energy. As the online exchange began, some students felt a wave of nerves, whispered comments like, “The other schools’ ideas are so advanced, I can’t keep up.” However, once the breakout sessions started, their leadership shone through. The group leaders stepped up, responding to questions with confidence. When asked how they developed their travel plans, one student replied, “We put our hearts into thinking about how visitors from outside the village could truly enjoy everything Nishiawakura has to offer.” Reflecting on their challenges, they honestly shared that “brainstorming solutions and organizing our presentation materials were the hardest parts.” By the end of the exchange, many expressed a new enthusiasm for learning, with one student noting, “Now, I want to try connecting what we’ve learned here with our other school subjects.”

Meanwhile, the 8th graders, though not attending the forum in person, participated by submitting a video documenting their activities. This group—team “Yobikomi-kun Nishiawakura Branch”—has a special history with the awards; they won an Encouragement Award back in 6th grade. Their strong desire to “try again in junior high” made this submission possible. For their project, they analyzed the village’s current situation from both internal and external perspectives, proposing solutions for issues like lack of PR and community vitality. Working together as a class, they condensed their extensive research into a slide presentation and dedicated themselves to filming a video that truly conveyed their vision within the time limit.

This first-time challenge for Nishiawakura Junior High at the Manabitai Awards proved to be a transformative experience. By engaging with the diverse perspectives of students from other schools, the “resolution” of their own work—understanding which village issues they are tackling and what value they aim to create—became much clearer. This experience of looking at their activities through an objective lens is a powerful step forward that will make their future studies in the “Awakura Mirai-gaku” program even deeper and more impactful.
